Starting in Jamestown



The book, AMERICAN ROOTS 1585-1607 takes place mainly in Jamestown, Virginia. But, it starts in Roanoke, the Lost Colony of Virginia and the first attempt of making a permanent English settlement in America, the New World.
Jamestown is the first permanent English Settlement in the United States of America. It dates prior to Plymouth, Massachusetts.
Hence, Jamestown is the birthplace of the U.S.
